Veer Pahariya appears to be engaged in an extensive public relations campaign following the release of his debut film, Sky Force, last week. The online community seems to believe that he is actively promoting himself. As a result, there has been a noticeable backlash, with individuals mocking him in videos and comments regarding his persistent promotional efforts. In response, Veer has also started to engage with these humorous videos circulating online.

Veer reacts to his roasting

An Instagram user posted a Reel in which he expresses his frustration to the camera, stating that every fourth Reel he encounters features Veer. He describes this as "forced promotion" and rolls his eyes at the PR team's efforts to market him as a "national crush," similar to Triptii Dimri following her role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 2023 hit family crime drama, Animal. The user asserts that Veer's appearance is so "generic" that he could easily find someone resembling him in nearly every second apartment of his building.

Additionally, the user commented on a recent purported PR stunt where Veer attended a screening of Sky Force. During the event, he was seen dancing with a girl from the audience to his song, Rang. The user humorously noted that no one in the theater recognized Veer, despite watching him on the big screen. Veer responded in the comment section of the user's Reel with a laughing with tears emoji.

An Instagram user recently posted a Reel titled, “Introducing the ‘future of Bollywood’ (clown and skull emojis).” The video features a clip of Veer dancing to the song Rang, accompanied by the well-known children's song Lakdi Ki Kathi from Shekhar Kapur's 1983 film Masoom. Among the other newcomers highlighted in the Reel are Junaid Khan, the son of Aamir Khan, who is set to make his theatrical debut in Advait Chandan's romantic comedy Loveyapa, and Aaman Devgan, the nephew of Ajay Devgn, who recently made his acting debut in Abhishek Kapoor's period drama Azaad. Veer also commented on the Reel with a laughing with-tears emoji.

Veer Pahariya on Sky Force

The patriotic action-drama, inspired by true events, showcases Veer in the role of Squadron Leader Ajjamada Boppayya Devayya, a recipient of the Mahavir Chakra. Reflecting on his experience during the production of his debut film, Veer revealed that he was cast for this role while auditioning for a different project.

"I auditioned for another film, but during the look and screen tests, I must have impressed them in some way. That led to my selection for Sky Force. I consider myself incredibly lucky to be involved in a film that pays tribute to a genuine hero and conveys his remarkable story to audiences," he stated in an interview with ANI.

Sky Force achieved a remarkable box office opening, garnering a total of Rs. 15.30 crore from national chains on its first day, as reported by trade analyst Taran Adarsh. This achievement marks Veer Pahariya as the first debut actor to achieve such an opening. Directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, Sky Force narrates the tale of India's retaliatory action against Pakistan's Sargodha airbase during the 1965 Indo-Pakistani air conflict. The film is produced by Maddock Films and features a cast that includes Akshay Kumar, Nimrat Kaur, and Sara Ali Khan alongside Veer.
