Sitara Ghattamaneni discusses her father.

Mahesh Babu has provided his voice for the character of Mufasa in the Telugu adaptation. The production company has unveiled a new promotional video featuring Sitara discussing her father's involvement in the project.

"I take great pride in my father's participation in this film, as Mufasa is such a legendary character in The Lion King. In many ways, he (Mahesh Babu) embodies the qualities of Mufasa in real life—he is caring and protective. When I learned about this opportunity, I felt immense pride and excitement that he would portray Mufasa. I often tease him that I collaborated with Disney first through Frozen," Sitara remarked.

In the video, Sitara elaborated on Mahesh Babu's preparation for his role and shared a personal story involving their pet dog, Snoopy.

She remarked, “He dedicated a significant amount of time to practice. He embodies this character perfectly, and this is his debut in such a role. Each time I view the trailer, I feel a sense of joy when he appears on screen. I eagerly anticipate the release of the full movie. He is going to excel. One of my favourite moments from the first part is when Rafiki lifts Simba. My father used to hold Snoopy in a similar manner when he was a small puppy... It’s amusing that he is now portraying Mufasa.”

Sitara concludes the video with a hopeful expression, sharing her aspiration to portray Mufasa’s daughter, Kiara, as she matures.
