Salim Khan is a devoted father to his son, actor Salman Khan. He frequently shows his support for Salman during film shoots and trailer launches, including his recent attendance at the launch of the Sikandar trailer. However, in an interview with Magic Moments, the screenwriter revealed that there are times when they may go months without speaking to each other.

Salim explained, "That has indeed happened. If he does something I disapprove of or believe is wrong, I choose not to communicate with him. On such occasions, if I am near the window, he would quietly pass by the parapet and leave the house without seeing me. Eventually, he would return and say, ‘Sorry, what I did was not right.’ I have observed that when individuals achieve success, they often overlook an important aspect: their personal growth as human beings. For instance, when a cricket player reaches the pinnacle of their career, they tend to concentrate solely on their sport and disregard everything else,” he noted.

Salim on relationship with his father

Regarding his relationship with his father, Salim shared that he and Salman Khan enjoy a more amicable connection than he had with his own father. Reflecting on his upbringing, Salim remarked, “I would feel terrified the moment I heard his leather boots on the floor.” He expressed his desire not to replicate that dynamic with his children, emphasizing that he wants them to be his friends.
