Sikandar Twitter Reviews: ‘Mid-Action, Zero Impact’ Say Disappointed Fans

Movie enthusiasts have expressed their opinions on Salman Khan's recent film, Sikandar, via X (formerly Twitter). The feedback varies significantly, encompassing both enthusiastic accolades and harsh critiques. While some admirers are captivated by Salman's distinctive charm and presence, others criticize the film's storyline, pointing out its illogical elements and lack of coherence.

Sikandar gets thumbs up and down on Twitter

This varied reception has ignited a spirited discussion, with #Sikandar trending as users share their perspectives on the film's strengths and weaknesses. One user remarked, “I just watched the all-time biggest superstar of Indian cinema in #Sikandar after a while. @BeingSalmanKhan delivers one of his finest performances, and @ARMurugadoss has crafted a script that is perfect with action, emotions, twists, and plots. The King is winning millions of hearts.” Conversely, another user stated, “#Sikandar features typical #SalmanKhan action with repetitive stunts and a weak social message. #RashmikaMandanna struggles to connect with him. While the visuals and score are decent, they cannot redeem the predictable and poorly paced storyline.”

One fan commented, “This film is solely for action enthusiasts. #ARMurugadoss is overrated,” while another added, “Salman Khan's charisma combined with AR Murugadoss' direction equals a BLOCKBUSTER! I can't wait to see it again.”

Another post declared, “THIS YEAR BELONGS TO #SIKANDAR! Salman Khan elevates larger-than-life to a new level.” A fan noted, “The scene in the club before the Holi song showcases the true swagger of #SalmanKhan, complete with a cigar. The action sequences are well-executed, and the second half surpasses the first.”

However, one user criticized the film, stating, “The story is outdated, and the screenplay is the flattest ever. Santhosh Narayanaan has reused the Kalki background music and simply pasted it in.”

One viewer conveyed their dissatisfaction by stating, “The storyline is uninspired and outdated, making it easily forgettable. It appears that my favorite director, A.R. Murugadoss, may need a hiatus. There isn’t a single memorable scene, and Bhaijaan seems fatigued and disconnected throughout.” Another commenter noted, “Salman's entrance was impressive. Rashmika and Prateik Babbar performed well in their brief roles. Overall, the screenplay is engaging, despite a few shortcomings and some effective interval moments. The emotional scenes could have had a greater impact.”

A different social media user remarked, “I am truly perplexed that four adults chose to create this nonsense and invested 300 crores in its production. It is superficial to an extreme. Either the audience's intelligence is at an all-time low, or the writers lack competence. The acting was poor, and the action was mediocre. Are we in 2025 or 1925?”

Another comment stated, “Sikandar is a complete failure. There is no story, no screenplay, no music, no lyrics, no choreography, and no action—just another addition to the list of flops.”

More about Sikandar

Sikandar, directed by A.R. Murugadoss, marks Salman’s return to the silver screen for the first time since 2023. The film features Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, and Sharman Joshi in significant roles. It was released in theaters on March 30.

This film is Salman’s first Eid release in two years. However, it has not set any records with its advance ticket sales, garnering only ₹10 crore for its opening day, which is higher than Mohanlal's recently released L2: Empuraan but falls short of Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava.
