Siddhant Chaturvedi is gearing up for the release of his movie, Yudhra. The actor will feature in a never-seen-before avatar in Ravi Udyawar's action-thriller. A few days before his movie's theatrical release, Siddhant shared some interesting insights about Yudhra. In an interview with DNA, the actor revealed his upcoming film is a 'personal story of revenge'. Chaturvedi also mentioned that his film with Malavika Mohanan is a different kind of 'animal'.
Siddhant Chaturvedi on Yudhra
Speaking with the publication, Siddhant Chaturvedi revealed the makers had no reference for Yudhra. The team knew they had to do something pathbreaking with action to make it look 'raw and real'. According to Chaturvedi, no fight sequence or violence should be there just for a shock value. He feels action always has a purpose behind it.
The actor recalled that Yudhra was ahead of the curve in 2019. Since the COVID pandemic hit the world, they couldn't get an international crew to shoot in India and they couldn't begin the shoot because of logistic issues. However, Siddhant still believes, "A lot of people might compare it but you can’t. When you watch this film, you’ll realise it’s a totally different animal."
Siddhant's prep for his action film Yudhra
Earlier, in an interview with Filmfare, celebrity fitness coach Rohit Nair opened up about Siddhant's rigorous prep for Yudhra. Nair said, "He did regular MMA and jiu-jitsu with me before he went for the action scenes. Everything wasn’t shot in Mumbai, and I couldn’t travel with him, but he trained with me for MMA, kickboxing, and jiu-jitsu while he was here."
Meanwhile, Yudhra, also featuring Malavika Mohanan, is scheduled for a theatrical release on September 20, 2024. Binny and Family has averted a box office clash with Chaturvedi's film.
