In a recent conversation with NDTV, Shreyas Talpade, who portrayed Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the film, praised his co-star and director, Kangana. He described her as a 'fabulous' actor, noting that she has truly 'put her best foot forward' in her portrayal of Indira Gandhi during the Emergency period. He remarked, "Her performances are exceptional, showcasing a level of talent that is rare. She has consistently received awards, accolades, and admiration for her work on screen, and I assure you, Emergency will be no exception."

He reflected on his experience collaborating with her, stating that working together on-screen was exceptional. He emphasized that having a remarkable co-star enhances one's performance, expressing his gratitude and honour in sharing the screen with her.
