Following its release, a public relations dispute regarding credit emerged on social media. Recently, the film's cast has resolved this credit contention through an entertaining video.

Stree 2 cast settles the credit war

On Monday, the official Instagram account of Star Gold posted a video featuring the cast of Stree 2 engaged in a roundtable discussion regarding the film's credits. Director Amar expressed, “The audience has shown immense love for our film Stree 2. Therefore, I believe our film…” At this point, Abhishek Banerjee, who portrays Jana in Stree 2, interjected, stating, “That is my film.” This remark caused Shraddha Kapoor to burst into laughter, after which she remarked, “This is my film.” Rajkummar Rao then contributed, “There is no need to mention it; the audience is aware that Stree 2 is my film.”

Aparshakti Khurana also participated in the lighthearted exchange, remarking, "If this issue is revealed, it will have significant repercussions." The others were seen urging Aparshakti to refrain from further comments. Filmmaker Amar then gestured towards himself, prompting laughter and agreement from the cast as they stated, “The film exists solely due to the director." Ultimately, the team resolved the discussion by declaring, “This film is not ours; it belongs to you, the audience." Although the film was released on OTT last year, it is now scheduled for its television debut on Star Gold on Saturday, March 15, at 8 PM.

Stree 2's success

The horror-comedy film, helmed by Amar Kaushik, features prominent performances by Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana. Produced collaboratively by Maddock Films and Jio Studios, this movie marks the fourth entry in the Maddock Horror-Comedy Universe. Stree 2 garnered favourable reviews from both critics and viewers, quickly achieving blockbuster status. It amassed ₹597.99 crore in India and ₹857.15 crore globally.
