Shraddha Das opens up on her singing debut
Not many know that popular actress Shraddha Das has sung this number in Telugu, marking her playback singing debut. The song, which has been shot in a very stylish manner, features Suriya and Disha Patani. Speaking about the song, Shraddha says she loved singing "Yolo" and was pleasantly surprised when DSP asked her to sing it. Shraddha's unique voice and her rendition of the song have impressed many.
"Everyone wondered why I performed at DSP’s concert in Hyderabad. Only a few days later, people realized it was me who sang 'Yolo' in Kanguva. I loved singing and had a great time working on the film," says Shraddha. Along with Shraddha, DSP and Sagar also sang this number.
Siva directed Kanguva, which has been produced by Gnanavel Raja on a massive scale. Shraddha says she has seen a few bits and pieces of Kanguva and is confident that Suriya will excel in this big-budget action drama. Shraddha, who started her career a decade ago, still has a strong screen presence and says she would love to sing more in the future.
Meanwhile, Kanguva’s pre-release business has been solid, and the film needs to make at least Rs 25 crore to be in the safe zone in the Telugu states.
