Kannada actor Shivarajkumar is taking some time to recover in Miami after having surgery to remove a cancerous bladder, and he’s been given the all-clear regarding cancer. He had some treatment before the surgery and plans to head back to Bengaluru by the end of the month. Recently, there were some unconfirmed rumors about his health, including concerns about potential kidney failure, but Madhu Bangarappa, Geetha Shivarajkumar’s brother and a politician, has stepped in to clear things up.

Madhu shared some insights about Shivarajkumar's surgery, explaining that the actor had his cancerous bladder taken out. After that, they used a part of his intestine to create a new bladder. The operation took place at the Miami Institute of Cancer because they had a specialist surgeon available, which was important since the procedure is pretty complex.

The procedure went smoothly, he mentioned. The actor has around 190 internal stitches that are healing well, and he’s set to head back to Bengaluru on January 25. Madhu noted that Shivarajkumar’s overall fitness is a big reason for his quick recovery.

On the work side, Shivarajkumar managed to release his home production, Bhairathi Ranagal, before heading to the US. He also wrapped up filming for Arjun Janya’s directorial debut, even while starting his cancer treatment. On January 14, Arjun revealed that the film, titled 45, is scheduled to hit theaters on August 15. So, his next release is likely to be A for Anand, a Geetha Pictures project inspired by the Japanese bestseller Toto Chan: The Girl By The Window, or Firefly, which is his daughter Niveditha’s debut production, where Shivarajkumar will make a cameo. 

The Hattrick Hero has a bunch of projects in the pipeline, but it’s still unclear which one he’ll tackle first. Fans are also crossing their fingers that he’ll join Superstar Rajinikanth in Jailer 2, which was officially revealed on January 14.
