Shivarajkumar, known as the Century Star of Kannada cinema, has frequently expressed his deep admiration for the legendary actor Kamal Haasan, despite his close friendship with the renowned Superstar Rajinikanth. Therefore, it was particularly significant for Shivarajkumar when Kamal took the time to check on his well-being while he was in Miami undergoing surgery to remove and replace a cancerous bladder.

Shivarajkumar, The individual last seen in Bhairathi Ranagal shared this information during the Tamil teaser launch of his forthcoming film, titled 45, which represents the directorial debut of music composer Arjun Janya. "Kamal Haasan sir reached out to me while I was recovering in Miami after my surgery, which was an incredibly heartfelt gesture from my favorite hero. He had learned about my health challenges and wanted to check on my condition. At that time, I was able to inform him that I was cancer-free, to which he expressed that he was deeply moved by the news, stating he had tears in his eyes. I will always remember what Kamal Haasan sir said; it will resonate in my mind and heart," the actor remarked.

While in Chennai to speak with the media alongside co-star and Om director Upendra, as well as producer Ramesh Reddy, Shivarajkumar reiterated his profound admiration for Kamal Haasan, whose acting style he finds greatly inspiring. Shivarajkumar further commented that if he were a woman, he would undoubtedly have chosen to marry the Tamil star.

Shivarajkumar's admiration for Kamal is so profound that during a meeting many years ago, when the Tamil actor visited Dr. Rajkumar, he requested a hug, which Kamal graciously granted. "I refrained from bathing for three days afterward, hoping to retain his scent and presence; that illustrates the depth of my fanboy devotion. I would never skip a first-day-first show of his films," Shivarajkumar remarked.
