Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar, who has been undergoing treatment for his illness, has announced that he is now free of cancer. The actor received treatment for gallbladder cancer at the Miami Cancer Institute in the United States and shared this uplifting news on New Year's Day. His announcement has brought joy to his fans, who are now eagerly anticipating the return of their beloved star to the screen.

Actor Shiva Rajkumar, primarily known for his work in Kannada cinema, shared an important update on social media on Wednesday, revealing that he has completed his treatment in the United States and is now free of cancer. He had been diagnosed with gallbladder cancer and received care at the Miami Cancer Institute. In an emotional video message, Shiva Rajkumar expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported him throughout his battle with the illness and extended his wishes for a happy new year to his fans.

Prior to his diagnosis, he experienced significant fear; however, the overwhelming support from his loved ones, including family, fans, and medical professionals, has empowered him to combat cancer successfully. Accompanied by his wife Geetha, who expressed gratitude to fans and family for their steadfast support, Shiva Rajkumar shared that his kidney bladder had been surgically removed and replaced.

Bhairathi Ranagal on OTT

Shiva Rajkumar was recently featured in the Kannada film Bhairathi Ranagal, which is now available for streaming on Prime Video. Released in 2024, this film serves as a prequel to the 2017 movie Mufti. Directed by Narthan, it also features performances by Rahul Bose, Rukmini Vasanth, Devaraj, Chaya Singh, Madhu Guruswamy, Shabeer Kallarakkal, and Babu Hirannaiah.

Bhairathi Ranagal explores the backstory of its titular character, portrayed by Shiva Rajkumar, detailing his transformation from a dedicated lawyer to a compassionate crime lord in Karnataka. The film is produced under the Geetha Pictures banner, with music composed by Ravi Basrur and cinematography by Naveen Kumar. The editing is handled by Akash Hiremath.
