Ju Ji Hoon is in discussions to join renowned South Korean actors Lee Jong Suk and Sin Min Ah for their inaugural collaboration in a fantasy K-drama. This series, inspired by the widely acclaimed web novel The Remarried Empress, is said to have approached the Kingdom star for a significant role, centring on Navier’s thrilling adventures.

The agency stated, as reported by the Korean news outlet ize, that while [Ju Ji Hoon] has received an offer and is currently contemplating it, a final decision regarding his participation in the drama has not yet been made.

Joo Ji Hoon is under consideration for the prominent role of Emperor Sobieshu in the forthcoming drama adaptation. Although his agency has confirmed the receipt of the offer, a conclusive decision has yet to be reached. Sobieshu, the emperor of the Eastern Empire and the former husband of Navier, is portrayed as a multifaceted character in the original narrative—a "villain" whose presence introduces significant dramatic tension, despite his compelling charm.

The story revolves around Navier, the distinguished Empress of the Eastern Empire, who faces divorce from her husband, Emperor Sobieshu, due to his unfaithfulness.

Subsequently, Navier enters into a new marriage with Prince Heinri of the Western Kingdom, where she discovers happiness. Joo Ji Hoon has been approached for the role of Sobieshu, while discussions are ongoing with Shin Min Ah and Lee Jong Suk to take on the roles of Navier and Heinri, respectively, in the forthcoming drama adaptation. The official premiere date has yet to be announced.
