During her career, she worked alongside prominent actors such as Govinda, Akshay Kumar, and Suniel Shetty in the Bollywood industry. Ultimately, she chose to exit the film scene to focus on her marriage. In a recent interview, Shilpa, who was last seen in Bigg Boss 18, expressed that she has 'no regret' regarding her departure from the entertainment industry. The actress conveyed her contentment with her decision to leave and embrace married life.

Shilpa Shirodkar on leaving Bollywood

In a discussion with the Times of India, Shilpa Shirodkar disclosed that her mother held the belief that events should occur at the appropriate time; otherwise, one risks missing opportunities. "Thus, it was essential for me to progress, and for a woman at the age of 26-27, the logical next step was marriage. I entered into matrimony and felt immense joy in departing from the industry to embrace this new chapter," Shilpa expressed.

The actress expressed that she felt 'no regret' as she consistently heeded her mother's advice. Shirodkar was confident that her mother would guide her towards the right choices in her life. "The choice was to marry, and I never intended to leave India; however, as I mentioned, destiny often has alternative plans," she remarked.

The Bigg Boss 18 participant noted that it was part of her 'destiny' to relocate from India. This was another factor that led Shilpa to step away from her career in the film industry and embrace the role of a homemaker.

Shilpa Shirodkar's comeback in movies

Shilpa Shirodkar has recently declared her return to the film industry. The actress is set to appear in the movie Jatadhara, directed by Venkat Kalyan, where she will share the screen with Sudheer Babu.

While unveiling the poster for her upcoming film on Instagram, Shilpa wrote: "New beginnings! I am excited to share my next project, JATADHARA, a narrative crafted and directed by Venkat Kalyan. This film is presented by zeestudiosofficial, Umesh K. R. Bansal, and Prerna Arora. I eagerly anticipate having you all accompany me on this thrilling journey! (sic)."
