At the first-ever Amazon MX Player StreamNext event in Mumbai on Thursday, the platform unveiled an exciting slate of shows set to premiere in 2025, including Mitti Ek Nayi Pehchaan. Ishwak Singh, who stars as Raghav in the series, took the stage to discuss his character and the themes that struck a chord with him.

The show dives into the realm of agricultural entrepreneurship, a theme that really caught Ishwak's attention when he first heard about it. "I was blown away by the idea—what drives someone to leave behind their well-paying jobs and take such a big risk?" he said. The series highlights the trend of urban professionals, particularly MBAs, who are trading their lucrative careers in the city for a return to their rural roots and a focus on farming.

Having grown up in an urban environment, Ishwak found the concept both intriguing and relatable. "There's a part of me that yearns for that rural connection, even though I’m not really in touch with my roots. I grew up in the city," he confessed. "Through this show, I got a chance to connect with that rural side in a way."

The actor found a personal connection with the show's theme. "I could relate to it because I also left my hometown to chase my dreams in Mumbai," he shared. "But choosing to return to farming is a serious decision. I really admire those who take that leap. This show is something special and means a lot to us."

Ishwak also emphasized the significance of the team behind Mitti Ek Nayi Pehchaan, which played a major role in his dedication to the project. "What really drew me to this show was the team. They’re some of the most amazing people I’ve ever worked with, and I’m genuinely excited to be involved in this project."

In their 2025 announcement, Amazon MX Player unveiled a varied lineup of upcoming shows that aim to challenge norms and deliver unique, thought-provoking content to viewers.
