Sharvari Wagh, who was recently seen in the movies, Munjya, Maharaj, and Vedaa, is currently gearing up for her next big project, Alpha. She will be headlining the YRF Spy Universe film with Alia Bhatt. Recently, Sharvari opened up about her experience with the mega-franchise and how it is quite ‘nerve-wrecking’ to shoulder a significant universe that was earlier headlines by superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Hrithik Roshan.

Sharvari on bagging the lead role in Alpha

Sharvari has been impressing audiences and critics with her successful streak of performances in different roles. Whether you take the horror film Munjya or the drama film Maharaj, her fine craft is laudable. Recently, she surprised everyone with her action scene in Vedaa. The year 2024 has brought immense fame and success for the young star. Recently, in an interview, Sharvari opened up about her experiences in YRF’s upcoming actioner Alpha. The movie is among the highly anticipated projects because of the solid star cast. The mega-budget action film is a part of the YRF spy universe with a unique narrative about two super-agents.

She told News18 Showsha, "It’s a big pinch-me moment. It’s such a big universe! It’s an IP that has been loved in India and across the world. So, to be part of something that’s already so huge feels incredible. I’m super excited and truly grateful to be a part of it, firstly because the film stands for what it does and secondly, the fact that I get to work with Alia. That’s a big dream come true."

For the unversed YRF Spyverse has delivered some epic hits like Pathaan, Ek Tha Tiger and others. Notably, Sharvari has become the youngest actor to be part of the universe, which earlier featured SRK, Salman, Hrithik, Katrina Kaif, and Deepika Padukone.

Sharvari Wagh on being youngest star to headline YRF Spyverse

When asked about her experience of being a part of the YRF universe, Sharvari shared how it is overwhelming and nerve-wrecking simultaneously to headline Alpha. She added, “To be the youngest actor to shoulder a project of a franchise that has earlier been shouldered by the biggest superstars like Shah Rukh sir, Salman sir and Hrithik sir and other so many big names is humbling, motivating and a little bit of nerve-wracking too."

She also revealed during the conversation that she had auditioned for Alpha before Munjya hit the floors. Her acting chops and auditions help her bag the lead role in Alpha.

Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha stars Alia and Sharvari in the lead roles. Anil Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan will reportedly feature in special roles.
