Nadaaniyan is a romantic comedy that has recently premiered on Netflix, featuring Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor. Since its debut, the film has garnered a variety of reactions on social media. The storyline revolves around the characters played by Khushi and Ibrahim, who enter into a fabricated relationship to fulfill their individual aspirations. In a recent interview, Ibrahim's grandmother, the esteemed actress Sharmila Tagore, offered her thoughts on her grandson's film.

Sharmila Tagore's Review of Nadaaniyan

In a recent conversation, Sharmila Tagore was invited to share her perspective on her grandson Ibrahim Ali Khan's film, Nadaaniyan. 

The seasoned actress remarked, "Sara (Ali Khan) and Ibrahim (Ali Khan) are performing admirably." While she noted that Ibrahim's film did not meet expectations, she complimented his appearance, stating he looks very handsome and has put forth considerable effort. She acknowledged that such critiques are better kept private but candidly expressed that the film falls short of being good. Ultimately, she emphasized that the quality of the film is paramount.

Conversely, Tagore expressed her admiration for her granddaughter, Sara Ali Khan, commending her as a talented actress who puts in considerable effort. She further noted that Sara has the potential to accomplish even more in her career, and she is confident that she will do so.

Sharmila Tagore on her final Bengali film, Puratwan  

Sharmila Tagore is preparing to return to Bengali cinema after a 14-year hiatus, with Puratwan marking her last film in this genre. In an interview with PTI, the esteemed actress conveyed her affection for Kolkata and her passion for Bengali films, while also mentioning that her health issues have made it challenging for her to meet the physical demands of acting during shoots.

Reflecting on the filming of Puratwan in 2023, Tagore recounted, "We spent 14-15 days filming together at a resort along the banks of the Ganga, and it was a wonderful experience." She also expressed her comfort in speaking Bengali during the production of Puratwan.

The actress, known for her role in Apur Sansar, remarked, "After so many years, I was able to speak entirely in Bengali, my native language, in a film."
