Director Shankar, who is anticipating the release of his film Game Changer featuring Ram Charan in the lead role, expressed his admiration for director SS Rajamouli during the recent trailer launch event. As the two directors exchanged compliments, Shankar acknowledged Rajamouli's significant contribution in attracting Hollywood's attention to Indian cinema.
Shankar: SS Rajamouli is the pride of Indian cinema
The recent launch event for the Game Changer trailer was held in Hyderabad, and attended by the film's cast and crew. The film, featuring Ram Charan in the lead role, is directed by the esteemed filmmaker Shankar. Notably, SS Rajamouli, who previously collaborated with Ram Charan on RRR, was also present at the event.
During the occasion, Shankar expressed his admiration for SS Rajamouli, stating, “While we all admire Hollywood and their filmmaking techniques, it was SS Rajamouli garu who captured Hollywood's attention towards Indian cinema and demonstrated the art of filmmaking. He is a source of pride for Indian cinema, and I am privileged to have my film's trailer launched by him.”
In response, SS Rajamouli shared his appreciation for Shankar, referring to him as the "OG" of creating cinematic entertainment and expressing his pride in Shankar's work.
Game Changer release date
Game Changer is an anticipated political action drama set to premiere in theatres on January 10, coinciding with the Sankranthi festival. The film features Kiara Advani in the leading female role, supported by a diverse cast that includes SJ Suryah, Prakash Raj, Anjali, Srikanth, Samuthirakani, Sunil, Nassar, Subhalekha Sudhakar, Praveena, Naveen Chandra, Murali Sharma, among others.
The musical score and songs for the film have been composed by S Thaman. Production is managed by Dil Raju, Shirish, and ZEE Studios. The cinematography is led by S Thirunavukkarasu, while the editing is undertaken by Shameer Muhammed and Antony Ruben. The storyline has been crafted by director Karthik Subbaraj.
