Shalini Passi gained prominence through her participation in Karan Johar's reality series, Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives. Her engaging personality won over the audience. In a recent discussion with Hauterrfly, Shalini expressed her views on the increasing trend of young girls choosing Botox and cosmetic procedures at a young age.

Shalini Passi on young girls opting for Botox

Shalini Passi expressed her concerns regarding the trend of young girls opting for Botox and cosmetic surgeries at an early age, deeming it inappropriate. She remarked, “Currently, I observe many girls experiencing anxiety during their hormonal transitions. These changes typically unfold over a span of two to three years and eventually stabilize. It has come to my attention that it has become fashionable for girls aged 18 to 19 to pursue Botox and similar treatments. This is misguided, as their bodies have not yet fully matured. Even undergoing such procedures at the age of 22 is questionable.”

Furthermore, she highlighted the significance of self-acceptance, stating, “If you do not love yourself, it is unlikely that others will love you. It is essential to first cultivate self-love. One must genuinely believe, ‘I am content with who I am.’ For instance, if this is my natural hair colour, it is meant to remain so. If my hair is black, it reflects my grandmother’s heritage. Similarly, if this is my nose, it is a trait inherited from my father. How can one fail to appreciate their mother’s skin or their grandmother’s eyes? It is crucial for individuals to shift their mindset and recognize the importance of valuing their inherent characteristics. The younger generation must understand that the lifestyles portrayed online do not represent reality.”
