Shah Rukh Khan marked Republic Day with a lot of enthusiasm and took to social media to share an important message. He encouraged everyone to commit to creating an India that future generations can be proud of.

SRK wishes everyone a happy Republic Day

On Sunday, Shah Rukh celebrated Republic Day by posting a photo of himself saluting the Indian flag. In the pic, the Bollywood icon is rocking a simple white t-shirt, radiating patriotism and humility. His gaze is locked on the tricolour as he pays his respects.

He shared the image on X, previously known as Twitter, and Instagram, along with a message encouraging everyone to embrace the principles of the Indian Constitution.

“This Republic Day, let’s make a promise to build an India we can proudly hand down to future generations,” Shah Rukh wrote online.

He also said, “Let’s stand by the values of the Constitution and hold our heads high with pride. Happy Republic Day and Jai Hind.”

Fans were thrilled to see Shah Rukh's shout-out. One person commented, “Love you, king,” while another added, “Always one of my favorite actors #ShahRukhKhan.”

“Happy Republic Day, king SRK,” said one fan. Another chimed in with, “Our Pathaan.”

“Happy Republic Day, India, and to the King,” another user shared.

What's on the horizon for Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh is currently focused on getting ready for his upcoming film, King, which features Suhana Khan as well. Last year at the 77th Locarno Film Festival, he shared some exciting details about the film. He mentioned, “For my next project, King, I need to start working on it, lose a bit of weight, and do some stretching.”

Recently, it was revealed that Siddharth Anand will be directing King instead of Sujoy Ghosh. According to a report from Pinkvilla, the preparation for the film has been in progress for the past six months, with plans to start shooting in March 2025 and a global release set for 2026. The filming schedule is expected to last around six to seven months. The script has been penned by Sujoy Ghosh along with Siddharth, Suresh Nair, and Sagar Pandya.
