India is based on a famous coach, Negi Saab. But in India, they want to show a Muslim as a good character and make fun of a Pandit (Hindu priest). About Chak De! India
Chak De! India, written by Jaideep Sahni, is not a biopic of any living or deceased person, according to the information available on IMDb and the internet. It is said that the film took inspiration from real-life hockey teams and coaches, but is not directly inspired by any single individual. Directed by Shimit Amin, the film is still a beloved movie and has a very high recall value. It discusses female empowerment, equality, and unity.
The official synopsis on Yash Raj Films’ website for the Shah Rukh Khan starrer reads, “CHAK DE! INDIA is the story of a coach's fight to create Team India by overcoming their diverse backgrounds and learning to use everything that life hurls at them as a secret weapon. It's a story about honesty, sincerity, and integrity. A story to remind the nation of its National sport.” It will be interesting to see whether YRF or anyone involved with the film responds to these claims.
