Shah Rukh Khan's work front
On the professional front, SRK is gearing up for King. Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, the film also casts his daughter Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan. The high-octane and action-packed drama is reportedly finalized for Eid 2026 release while the filming is set to begin in January 2025 in Mumbai.
"The first schedule of King commences in Mumbai in January, followed by a marathon schedule in Europe. The makers have conducted multiple rounds of scouting in Europe to identify fresh locations that will add scale to King. The film stars SRK in the titular role alongside Suhana Khan, Abhay Verma, and Abhishek Bachchan," revealed a source.
The source further revealed that King will be shot until August or September next year, as the schedules require the actors to switch from one location to the other.
The idea is to shoot the action in real locations and set up studios, bringing the right mix of realism to the storytelling style. The makers aim to establish a new form of action with Shah Rukh Khan in King and the superstar is also keen to enter the territory.
