A senior photographer Pradeep Bandekar passed away in August 2024. His son, Prathamesh Bandekar, confirmed the same on his social media account. On August 23, the film industry attended a prayer meeting for the veteran photographer in Mumbai. From the meeting, a picture of Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan greeting each other surfaced on social media.

A fan account of Shah Rukh Khan named UKSRKUniverse shared a picture featuring King Khan and Aamir Khan. In the snap, the superstars can be seen warmly greeting each other as they attended veteran photographer Pradeep Bandekar's prayer meeting. SRK was seen with his manager, Pooja Dadlani, while Aamir was accompanied by veteran actor Jackie Shroff.

Apart from them, the prayer meeting was also graced by Vidya Balan, Varun Dhawan, Vicky Kaushal, his action director father, Sham Kaushal, Anil Kapoor, and others. 

Prathamesh Bandekar pens heartfelt for his late father 

Earlier, Prathamesh Bandekar took to Instagram to honor his late father, Pradeep Bandekar, with a heartfelt message. 

A part of his long note read, "He was not just my father but a great photographer, a mentor, a friend who stood by me in every storm, and someone who never hesitated to fight with me if it meant pushing me towards being my best. He was a devoted student to his granddaughter, always learning, growing, and sharing his infinite wisdom." 

B-town celebs express grief

Several celebrities from the Indian film industry, including Ajay Devgn and Bipasha Basu, took to their respective social media handles to pay their condolences. Ajay Devgn wrote on X, “Pradeep Bandekar ji’s passing is a personal loss… His decades-long bond with our family goes beyond the lens… He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered. Om Shanti.”

Bipasha Basu wrote, “RIP Pradeep ji. Strength to the family.”

Meanwhile, the veteran photographer Pradeep had worked closely with several Bollywood stars, from Ajay Devgn to Manoj Bajpayee in his decades-long career.
