Coldplay's lead vocalist, Chris Martin, extended a heartfelt tribute to Shah Rukh Khan during a performance in Mumbai on Sunday, declaring, "Shah Rukh Khan, forever" to the audience, which ignited excitement among the actor's fans. In response to this touching acknowledgment, Shah Rukh expressed that the gesture made him feel exceptionally valued.

During Coldplay's second concert at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai, a video surfaced showing Chris Martin giving a shoutout to Shah Rukh. The clip, shared by a fan account on X (formerly Twitter), captured the moment when Chris, amidst the performance, exclaimed, "Shah Rukh Khan forever. Go." The audience erupted in cheers, illuminating the venue with their phone lights.

On Monday, Shah Rukh took to X to share the video of Chris's tribute, accompanied by a heartfelt message. He also posted a note of appreciation on his Instagram Stories.

“Look at the stars…look how they shine for you….and everything you do! My brother Chris Martin, you make me feel special….like your songs,” Shah Rukh wrote.

He further added, “Love you and a big hug to your team. You are one in a billion, my friend. India loves you, @coldplay.” He concluded with the phrase, “Chris Martin forever ever” in the video.

In 2016, Chris and his band performed in India at the Global Citizen Festival, where Shah Rukh hosted an after-party for the singer at his residence.

The band is currently in India as part of their Music of the Spheres World Tour. They are scheduled for another performance at the DY Patil Stadium on Tuesday, followed by a fourth show at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on January 25 and another on January 26.

In addition to Chris, the band comprises guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, drummer and percussionist Will Champion, and manager Phil Harvey.
