Actor Shah Rukh Khan has commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for the media and entertainment industry, expressing his support for the forthcoming World Audio Visual Entertainment (WAVES) 2025 summit. In a message shared on X, Shah Rukh articulated that the WAVES 2025 summit aims to "promote and nurture creativity."

In response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's tweet, Shah Rukh Khan expressed, "I eagerly await WAVES, a summit dedicated to the film and entertainment industry, which will take place in our nation. This event not only honors our industry but also recognizes its significant contribution to the Indian economy and its influence as a form of soft power. Most importantly, it serves as a platform that promotes and nurtures creativity."

PM Modi tweeted, "India takes great pride in its film and entertainment sector, which not only strengthens our economy but also amplifies our soft power. #MannKiBaat." On Sunday, he announced the initiation of the World Audio Visual Entertainment (WAVES) Summit, highlighting the goal of establishing India as a centre for global content creation.

"Next year, for the first time, the World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit, known as WAVES, will be held in our nation. At this summit, prominent figures from the media and entertainment sectors, along with creative professionals, will gather in India. This event marks a significant advancement towards positioning India as a global content creation hub. I take pride in sharing that young creators will also be part of this summit," PM Modi stated during the 117th episode of 'Mann Ki Baat.'

Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Dutt too reacted to the step

Recently, actor Akshay Kumar expressed his admiration for Prime Minister Modi's initiative in launching the Waves summit. On Sunday, he stated, “This reflects PM @narendramodi ji's vision for advancing the Media & Entertainment sector. It is indeed a remarkable concept. The Waves 2025 summit is anticipated to serve as an exceptional global platform for the entire entertainment industry to unite and thrive.”

Sanjay Dutt commented, "India is at the forefront of entertainment and innovation! Congratulations to PM @narendramodi ji for this forward-thinking initiative. WAVES 2025 will provide an excellent opportunity for international collaboration. I am eager to see this transformation in the film and media landscape."

Prasoon Joshi, the head of the CBFC and a noted lyricist-writer, remarked that the WAVES Summit 2025 will highlight "India's content industry and its immense potential." This will mark India's first time hosting the World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit, scheduled from February 5 to February 9.
