Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Sued Over Allegations of Sexual Assault and Drugging in 2022

Sean 'Diddy' Combs has been charged with sexually assaulting an individual in 2022, according to a recent lawsuit submitted on Monday, February 10. The plaintiff, who has chosen to remain anonymous and is represented by attorney Tony Buzbee, is identified as John Doe. The individual alleges that he was "drugged and forcibly raped" by Combs, as stated in a filing with the New York County Supreme Court, which was reviewed by USA TODAY.
What does the lawsuit allege?
The lawsuit filed by Doe contends that the incident occurred after he was discovered while performing on the street outside a well-known nightclub in Los Angeles in November 2022. At that time, Doe was characterized as "a young musician."
According to Doe, an associate of Combs extended an invitation to an "exclusive A-list birthday party" at a private residence, where he subsequently met the founder of Bad Boy Records. The lawsuit claims that Combs provided Doe with a drink that had been laced with drugs and made several assurances regarding assisting Doe in obtaining a significant recording contract.
Doe asserts that while "incapacitated from the drugs," he was "forcibly" compelled to engage in oral sex and was subsequently raped. The lawsuit further states that "due to Combs’ influence and fame, along with his shock and embarrassment, Doe refrained from reporting the incident."
Doe is now pursuing a jury trial seeking "compensatory damages for all physical injuries, emotional distress, psychological harm, anxiety, humiliation, physical and emotional pain and suffering, family and social disruption, and other damages, the amount of which will be determined at trial."
Attorneys representing Combs have rejected the allegations. A statement indicated, "As we have previously stated, Mr. Combs cannot respond to every new publicity stunt, even when faced with claims that are patently absurd or demonstrably false. Mr. Combs and his legal team possess complete confidence in the facts and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will emerge: that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone—whether man or woman, adult or minor."
Combs, who is currently facing numerous sexual assault lawsuits and criminal charges related to sex crimes, is incarcerated and has been denied bail multiple times. He is scheduled to stand trial for his sex trafficking and racketeering charges on May 5 and has reportedly pleaded not guilty to all allegations.
