Satanyan Ghosal has been impersonated by alleged fraudsters who used the director’s name to dupe aspiring actors and actresses. 

The director finally took to his social media handle to call out the scam. Sayantan posted a warning message on social media and wrote, “I have been informed that someone is using my identity to create fake casting opportunities and fraudulently take money from parents with the promise of launching their children and women as well.” 

The advertisement on social media reportedly said, “Do you want to act in films or serials? Do you want to see your kids in the acting industry? Director Sayantan Ghosal will make that happen.”

The Sampurna director further added, “I do not reach out directly to anyone for casting purposes. No auditions or interviews for any of my projects are orchestrated or scheduled through social media. Lastly, no money is charged by me or my team while providing any casting call opportunities whatsoever. Kindly report the fake accounts and beware of such swindlers.” 

Previously, a fake casting call was spread in the name of Dev's production house. Dev warned everyone at that time. The production house said that the posts regarding the casting of the film Kishmish spread on social media, were by the swindlers. The production house asked people not to set foot in that trap.
