Saurabh Shukla had an important supporting role in the movie Kick, which featured Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez. The seasoned actor shared a memorable moment from the filming of the 2014 movie, where Salman had to step in and tell his assistant to stay out of the scene.

In an interview with Digital Commentary, Saurabh recalled, "In the scene, Salman’s character is meeting me for the first time as my daughter’s boyfriend. It’s interesting because the script has him asking me about my salary, my savings, and so on. When he posed that question, I reacted in a way that clearly showed the audience I was taken aback and surprised."

He added, “After we finished filming the scene, one of Salman’s assistants approached me and suggested that I should change my reaction. The assistant thought I should look scared in front of Salman’s character, Devi Lal Singh. I tried to explain that it didn’t really fit the moment, but the assistant insisted that Salman might not appreciate my reaction. Then, Salman called his assistant over and told him to leave me alone. He said my performance was spot on and that my reaction was exactly what the scene needed.”

Kick also featured Randeep Hooda and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in significant roles. It was a massive hit at the box office when it came out and was both produced and directed by Sajid Nadiadwala.

Next up, Salman will appear in Sikandar, set to release this Eid. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna and is directed by AR Murugadoss, known for his work on popular Tamil and Hindi films like Ghajini, Thuppakki, Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty, and Sarkar.
