Varalaxmi, born on March 5th, 1985, in Bengaluru, Karnataka, is the daughter of Sarath Kumar and his first wife, Chaya. She maintains a close bond with her stepmother, actress Raadhika. 

Recognized for her compelling performances in films such as Vikram Vedha, Nibunan, Vismaya, Sathya, Kaattu, and Masterpiece, Varalaxmi has made a name for herself in the South Indian film industry. She is set to appear next in Jana Nayagan, directed by H. Vinoth and produced by KVN Productions, featuring Vijay, Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, and others in key roles. This film is particularly significant as it represents Vijay’s last project before his anticipated political career.
