Seventeen years later, I finally had the opportunity to learn in Surfer’s Paradise, Gold Coast. Catching my first wave was both thrilling and humbling. There were numerous wipeouts and plenty of laughter at my own expense, but the joy of standing up and riding the wave made it all worthwhile,” Sara reflected on her initial surfing experience.
