During her appearance on NDTV Yuva, Sara reflected on how the incident highlighted the unpredictability of life. She mentioned that her entire family is feeling thankful.

Sara expressed her gratitude for Saif Ali Khan's recovery, noting that the outcome was positive. She remarked, "This experience highlights what is truly important. Our entire family felt a deep sense of thankfulness, as things could have taken a turn for the worse. I am incredibly thankful that everything is alright. It served as a poignant reminder of the life we lead. We often discuss the importance of mental health, and appreciating your life is crucial. Experiences like this truly bring that realization to the forefront."

Sara shares that she realised that life can change overnight

When asked whether the incident strengthened the family's ties, Sara expressed that she already has a strong relationship with her father. She stated, "It's not about becoming closer. He is my father, and we share a deep connection. This experience didn't make me recognize him as my father; rather, it highlighted how life can change in an instant. Therefore, each day should be celebrated with intention. It taught me the importance of gratitude."

Sara is the daughter of Saif and his former spouse, Amrita Singh. She also has a brother, actor Ibrahim Ali Khan.

About the Saif knife attack

Saif was attacked in the early hours of January 16 this year at his Bandra home in Mumbai. He was stabbed six times by the assailant, who was later arrested. The actor was immediately hospitalised and underwent spinal and plastic surgeries at the Lilavati Hospital. He was discharged on January 21.

Sara was last seen in Sky Force, sharing the screen with Akshay Kumar, Veer Pahariya, and Nimrat Kaur. Her upcoming project is Anurag Basu's Metro In Dino, which features a notable cast including Anupam Kher, Konkana Sen, Neena Gupta, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Sheikh, Pankaj Tripathi, and Aditya Roy Kapur. This anthology film is scheduled for release in theaters on July 4 of this year.
