Director Tarun Dudej had previously confirmed a sequel to the film. In a recent interview, Sanjana provided an update regarding Dhak Dhak 2.

During In an interview with IANS, Sanjana Sanghi was inquired about the possibility of a sequel to Dhak Dhak. In response, the actress expressed her enthusiasm, stating, "Our film 'Dhak Dhak' received an overwhelming amount of love on Netflix, and as a result, we are developing a sequel, which I am extremely excited about." Nevertheless, she did not disclose further information regarding the sequel.

Earlier In an interview with Hindustan Times, Tarun Dudeja disclosed that Dhak Dhak 2 is currently in the scripting phase, emphasizing that it is still in its early development.

He noted, "The feedback we received following the OTT release was excellent; audiences appreciated the characters. Why not embark on a new journey with them?"

Tarun expressed his desire to retain the original cast from the first film, stating that their popularity among viewers justifies this decision. He mentioned that the team is actively brainstorming to craft a compelling and original storyline.

"Our aim is to ensure it stands apart from typical travel films, just as the first installment did. We are essentially at the initial stage of scripting," Tarun stated.
