Veteran actress Sandhya Roy felt uneasiness in her chest along with breathing trouble. She was hospitalised on Saturday. She is under doctors’ supervision in the hospital now. 

According to sources, she is stable now. Her ECG, echocardiogram, blood test, and some other tests have been done. A group of doctors and health workers are taking care of her. Sandhya Roy has been suffering from high blood pressure and diabetes. Hence she is under strict supervision. While she is stable, the doctors are yet to decide on her release.

Sandhya Roy was born in Nabadwip. Her family went to Bangladesh after her birth and came back in 1957. She started acting in the sixties. Maya Mriga, Palatak, Ganadebata, Baghini, Ashani Sanket, Dadar Kirti, Bhrantibilas, Thogini, Sotya Mithya, and Baba Taraknath are some of her noted films. 

Sandhya Roy was a popular actress in the sixties and seventies. For her acting in Ganadebata directed by Tarun Majumder, she was awarded the Filmfare, BFJA, and Kalakar Awards. Sandhya Roy was the TMC candidate from Midnapore in 2014’s parliament election. She won the election and became an MP. But now she mostly spends time in her home. Her fans are concerned and are praying for her speedy recovery.
