Sandeep Vanga talks about his career journey and shares how the teaser for Arjun Reddy was a pivotal moment for him. He remembers the day he and Vijay Deverakonda wrapped up the teaser and hit upload at 7 PM from his office. "As soon as we clicked enter to release the teaser on YouTube, everything shifted in a matter of minutes. Within two hours, our phones were bombarded with messages and tweets. It was a huge turning point in my career. Vijay and I had a feeling this film was going to make waves in Indian cinema, and it certainly did," Sandeep Vanga reflects. 

He also mentions that the young crowd went wild when the film dropped, turning Vijay Deverakonda into a huge star. "Honestly, I think the day the teaser came out was even more thrilling for me than the actual release. It felt like all my hard work was finally paying off. I just knew Arjun Reddy was going to impress everyone," he shares.

Sandeep Vanga explains his reasons for not choosing Shahid Kapoor for the role in Animal

The well-known director went on to remake Arjun Reddy in Hindi, featuring Shahid Kapoor, and the movie, called Kabir Singh, turned out to be one of the biggest successes in Shahid’s career. Sandeep also mentioned that Shahid is a unique talent and should avoid doing remakes.

In the same interview, Sandeep shared his thoughts on why he didn’t cast Shahid in Animal. He said, "From the moment I began writing Animal, Ranbir Kapoor felt like the perfect fit. As I worked on the script, his name kept popping into my head, and I just knew he was the best choice for the lead role. When I reached out to Ranbir, he was all in, and that’s how Animal came to life."

Right now, Sandeep Vanga is focused on getting his new film, Spirit, ready for production, featuring Prabhas. He assures us that the film will be really captivating and thrilling. Keep an eye out for more news!
