In a chat with Game Changers, Sandeep Reddy Vanga was asked if Ranbir Kapoor was his top pick for Animal and why he chose him for such a gritty action flick, especially since he's usually seen as the romantic type.

The director shared, "Looking back at his past roles, you can really see the aggression and arrogance in his performances. I’ve been a fan of his work since his debut. Ranbir was definitely my first choice for Animal. When I pitched the idea to him, he was all in. After that, I spent a year crafting the screenplay, and it just felt like he was meant to be in every scene—it was like I was writing it just for him."

Animal Park Overview

Animal Park is the follow-up to the hit 2023 film Animal. This new installment is set to be darker, more intense, and more intricate than the first. It will center around Ranbir Kapoor's character, Ranvijay, and his doppelgänger. Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who directed the original, is back at the helm for this sequel.

In the first film, we follow Ranvijay "Vijay" Singh (played by Ranbir Kapoor), who has a rocky relationship with his powerful father, Balbir Singh (Anil Kapoor). After an assassination attempt on his dad, he goes down a violent path seeking revenge.

The movie dives into themes like masculinity, violence, and the fallout of revenge. The cast also includes Rashmika Mandanna as Ranvijay's wife, along with Triptii Dimri and Bobby Deol.
