Samyukta Hornad is a part of Kiccha Sudeep’s next, Max; that’s no secret. What is still under wraps is her character in the film, even though there are whispers that it’s a prominent role that ‘travels with Sudeep’s Arjun Mahakshay throughout’. Sudeep is playing a police officer yet again in the film; could she also be a cop? Well, for clarity on that, Samyukta says that we have to wait for the team to make official announcements, or for the film to be released. Until then, mum’s the word from her.

The actress was speaking to the media at the first-year anniversary of actor Prakash Raj’s theatre institute in Mysuru when Max became a topic of discussion. And while she wouldn’t divulge anything about her role in the film, Samyukta was quite effusive in her praise of Sudeep on the set of the film. The actress, who worked with Sudeep for the first time on Jigarthanda, which the latter produced and directed, said that she is a fan of the Kannada superstar. And working with him on Max, has made her an even bigger fan.

Sudeep, according to Samyukta, was not just an actor on the set of Max. He was involved in pretty much every aspect of the filmmaking, even helping with the makeup of artistes. “The energy he brings to the set is infectious and seeing that, one can only hope for the opportunity to do 100 films with him,” she said.

As for the film, Samyukta promises that Sudeep fans will not be disappointed by it. “He looks good onscreen and the action he’s done in the film, which is a thriller, is also outstanding. I have been very entertained watching him on set. It’s a different film, which may sound cliched, but I am saying it with utmost conviction,” says the actress, adding that it will become clear when the trailer comes out.

Directed by debutant Vijay Karthikeyaa and produced by Kalaippuli S Thanu, Max also stars Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Sunil, Pramod Shetty, Sukrutha Wagle, among others. The buzz right now is that Max will release in time for the Ganesha festival, which will also be close to the leading man’s birthday. September 5/6 are said to be the possible dates.
