Samir Soni on his work life after Baghban's success
In a discussion with Ujjawal Trivedi, Samir Soni reminisced about the period following the success of Baghan in 2003. The actor shared, "Despite the film's popularity, I received no job offers for three months. During that time, I resided near the beach, and each evening, I would walk along the shore and weep."
Samir Soni elaborated, expressing, "I would inquire of God, what is your desire? I have relinquished everything. If you do not wish to make me a hero, then do not. Either inform me that I am incapable of acting. Having accepted the possibility of portraying a villain, I find myself without any opportunities. What course of action should I take now?"
In the same discussion, Samir shared his curiosity regarding the offer he received for a villainous role in Ravi Chopra's Baghban. The actor, who also participated in Dance Like A Man, returned home contemplating his next steps. After some reflection, Soni reached out to director Ravi, requesting a role that would feature prominently alongside Amitabh Bachchan.
Despite not securing any work for three months following Baghban, the actor quickly received an opportunity to appear in a television series. This series was Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin, featuring Mona Singh and Gaurav Gera. The show marked a significant milestone in his acting career.
