Stand-up comedian Samay Raina has recently been in the spotlight for negative reasons. According to a new report, Samay's request to record his statement via video conferencing in relation to the ongoing controversy was rejected by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell.

Samay Raina Denied Remote Testimony

Samay Raina is presently in the US for his stand-up tour. His involvement in the India's Got Latent case has drawn attention from investigative agencies, who are keen to record his statement. However, as he is overseas, Samay has communicated through his lawyer that he won't be able to return to India before March 17 because of prior engagements. He requested to give his statement online, but this request was denied.

ANI shared an update on X, stating, "YouTuber Samay Raina requested the Maharashtra Cyber Cell to record his statement via video conferencing, as he is currently out of the country. However, the Maharashtra Cyber Cell denied this request and insisted that he must appear in person to give his statement. He has been summoned to record his statement on February 18: Maharashtra Cyber Cell."Recently, Samay broke his silence with an official statement on social media. He expressed his commitment to cooperate with the agencies for a fair investigation and announced that he had deleted all episodes of India's Got Latent from his YouTube channel. His statement read, "The ongoing situation has been overwhelming for me. I've removed all India's Got Latent videos from my channel. My sole aim was to bring laughter and joy. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their inquiries are conducted fairly. Thank you."
