The whole India's Got Latent drama is causing a stir beyond just the show. It looks like Samay Raina, the creator of the show, has had to cancel his upcoming comedy gigs because of the backlash. The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) announced on Wednesday that Samay's shows in Gujarat are off after people got upset over some inappropriate comments made in the latest episode of India's Got Latent.

VHP announced that tickets for Samay Raina's shows set for April are no longer up for grabs on BookMyShow. Social media influencer Ranveer Allahbadia sparked a huge uproar with his remarks about parents and sex during Raina's show, which went viral on Monday, resulting in a wave of backlash and several police complaints in Mumbai and Guwahati. VHP spokesperson Hitendrasinh Rajput mentioned that Raina had lined up four shows in Gujarat—one in Surat on April 17, another in Vadodara on April 18, and two in Ahmedabad on April 19 and 20.

Rajput stated, "It looks like all four shows have been scrapped due to the public's reaction in Gujarat. Tickets were still available on BookMyShow until Wednesday morning, but now they seem to have been removed from the site."

VHP regional secretary Ashvin Patel added that the organizers chose to cancel the shows following the recent backlash. "Given the public's anger, it seems the organizers have decided to pull the plug on Samay Raina's shows in Gujarat. We appreciate the vigilance of the people here. I also urge organizers to think twice before hosting events with such individuals in Gujarat," Patel said.

Allahbadia, better known as BeerBiceps, has already said sorry for his "lapse in judgment," but the controversy just won't go away. On Wednesday, Raina finally spoke up about the situation, tweeting that he has removed all episodes of the show and will cooperate completely with the authorities. An FIR has been lodged against the show's team, which includes Raina and Allahbadia, for having ‘objectionable’ content.
