Comedian Samay Raina is facing some backlash on his show India's Got Latent after YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia made a controversial remark about "having sex with parents." While touring Canada for his Samay Raina Unfiltered show, he hinted at the fallout from the incident. After the "kaand" (scandal), he gave the audience a sneak peek of his upcoming conversation with comedian Tanmay Bhat about the whole situation.

Raina performed for a small audience at Vancouver's Massey Theatre. Faridoon Shahryar, a film journalist who was there, shared his thoughts on the night. He mentioned that Raina received a standing ovation when he took the stage and talked about his conversation with Bhat afterward.

Raina asked, "I talked to Tanmay Bhat bhai and said, 'Tanmay bhai, when something like this goes down, like a scandal, do you lose your appetite?' He replied, 'Yeah, you really don’t feel hungry in those moments.' So I followed up with, 'Then how did you end up gaining weight?'” This had the crowd cracking up.

The source of the debate: Ranveer Allahbadia's inquiry

Ranveer Allahbadia, the YouTuber known as BeerBiceps, stirred up quite a buzz when he appeared on India's Got Latent earlier this month. He threw a pretty shocking question at a young contestant: "Would you rather just sit back and watch your parents get it on all the time, or join in once and stop it for good?" This left a lot of folks feeling frustrated, and many criticized him for what they considered a really inappropriate question.

The NHRC and the I&B Ministry stepped in, leading to YouTube pulling the video down. Meanwhile, the backlash against Samay Raina for taking down all episodes of India’s Got Latent on YouTube started to grow stronger.
