Bollywood star Adarsh Gourav just shared some exciting news about his first acting gig in the Telugu film industry. He confirmed that he’ll be starring in an upcoming psychological thriller directed by Baba Shashank. The film, produced by Jahnavi, is set to hit theaters this year. In a recent chat, Adarsh mentioned that actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu played a significant role in helping him land this opportunity, and he feels grateful to her for that.

Adarsh Gourav mentioned in an interview with Hindustan Times that Samantha Ruth Prabhu's team introduced him to a bunch of folks in the Telugu film industry. This connection eventually led him to meet the producer and director of his Telugu film.

I really owe a shoutout to Samantha for this whole thing. I was at Citadel’s after party chatting with her about my desire to dive into Telugu films. She suggested, ‘Why not set up some meetings? I can help you with that,’ Adarsh shared.

He continued, "Her business partner and manager introduced me to a bunch of people, and that led me to meet the producer and director of this film. It was just pure luck that I landed the role."

Adarsh also mentioned that Telugu is his first language, and he’s always wanted to break into that film scene. He admitted he was a bit lost on how to start since he couldn’t find a way in. Now that he’s filming, he expressed how great it is to work with folks who speak the same language as him.

"It’s like, even if you don’t know them well, there’s this connection where you feel understood, and that’s really something special," he said. The film is being produced by Jahnavi, the daughter of RRR producer DVV Danayya.

Adarsh Gourav recently appeared in the film Superboys of Malegaon, which was directed by Reema Kagti and written by Varun Grover. He shared the screen with Viineet Kumar Siingh, Shashank Arora, and Anuj Singh Duhan.
