Mimoh Chakraborty, now referred to as Mahakshay, embarked on his acting journey approximately 17 years ago. Despite his debut film receiving a significant release, his career did not unfold as anticipated. The film Jimmy turned out to be a considerable box office failure, leading the actor to retreat from the public eye. Although he appeared in several films in the following years, opportunities began to diminish. During this challenging period, he remembered the encouragement he received from Salman Khan.

In an interview with Digital Commentary, Mimoh recounted an experience from around 2015 when Salman invited him to the set of Sultan. “While filming Sultan, he contacted my mother and requested that I come to the set. He embodies the essence of a superstar and possesses a remarkable presence. I spent the day with him, and he remarked to an assistant director, pointing at me, ‘You are struggling with your tasks, but look at him; he isn’t even getting a chance to face challenges.’ His words still resonate with me: ‘At least give me a chance,’” he shared. Mimoh is the son of renowned actors Mithun Chakraborty and Yogeeta Bali.

Mimoh expressed that both Salman and Abhishek Bachchan provided him with valuable guidance that he cherishes to this day. "Salman advised me to persevere, assuring me that he would support me and that an opportunity would arise. Abhishek Bachchan echoed this sentiment, telling me to disregard others' opinions and to remember my identity," he noted.

Mimoh Chakraborty's recent career

In 2023, Mimoh made a notable return in a supporting role in the film Jogira Sara Ra Ra, featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui. He also appeared in the Telugu movie Nenekkadunna earlier this year. Most recently, he was seen in the Netflix series Khakee: The Bengal Chapter, alongside Prosenjit Chatterjee, Jeet, Saswata Chatterjee, Ritwik Bhowmik, Chitrangada Singh, Aadil Zafar Khan, and Parambrata Chatterjee.
