Saqib Saleem was a prominent member of the cast for Salman Khan's film Race 3. He portrayed the character Suraj Singh under the direction of Remo D'Souza. Recently, the Bollywood actor shared a humorous and intriguing story from the film's set. During his appearance on Hafta Vasooli, hosted by Munawar Faruqui, Saqib recounted an incident where co-star Salman paused the filming to procure sushi.

When Salman Khan halted Race 3's shoot for sushi

In his discussion with Munawar Faruqui, Saqib Saleem reflected on the filming of Race 3, which took place near Abu Dhabi. He recounted, "There was nothing available except dessert. Suddenly, Salman Bhai turned to me and asked if I wanted sushi. I casually responded, 'Where would we find sushi here?' However, when we broke for lunch, I learned that someone had traveled two hours to Abu Dhabi to fetch sushi for us."

Due to this individual’s journey to obtain sushi, the cast and crew had to wait for his return. Saqib fondly remembered how everyone remained seated and patiently awaited the sushi's arrival. He noted that it was a significant shooting day, with a helicopter and an army tanker present on set.

"All of them were just sitting idle because the sushi had not arrived. We only resumed shooting after it was delivered and we had eaten," the actor explained. Saqib also discussed how he secured his role in the action thriller, revealing that Salman Khan had personally called him and suggested he meet with producer Ramesh Taurani to hear the film's script.

To which, Saqib replied to Salman, "What is there to consider? If you called me, I am in for the film."
