While some of Salman Khan's colleagues have praised him, others have suggested that the actor frequently arrives late to the set and does not take his projects seriously. In a recent interview with India Today, Salman addressed these views regarding his work ethic.

Salman Khan on rumours of coming late on set

In response to the accusations of arriving late, Salman stated, "There are numerous stories about me being late and not being dedicated to my work. I have acted in over 100 films—more than anyone else except my senior colleagues. Achieving this would not be feasible if I were consistently late or leaving early. There is discipline, absolutely, but my schedule differs. Some individuals begin their work at 6 am; I typically start around 11:30 am to noon because I have various other responsibilities, such as signing documents, making phone calls, and exercising. After that, I need to return, unwind, enjoy my coffee, and comprehend the scene. Rashmika Mandanna knows that once I am on set, I do not return to my van or take a break. They set up a tent wherever necessary, and I remain there."

Salman Khan talks about people having false perceptions about him

The actor elaborated on how these rumors foster a misleading perception of the effort he invests in his work, stating, "I have friends who enjoy sharing these anecdotes about my schedule. For them, it’s a compliment, but it inadvertently deters others from collaborating with me. It creates the impression that I do not exert much effort. They think, ‘He just stands around, goes off, and does his own thing.’ However, that is not the case. There is a significant amount of hard work that goes unnoticed. I do not seek to showcase it, but mentally, I am always engaged, particularly with scenes and emotions. Being the son of a writer, thinking and analyzing come naturally to me."
