Bollywood star Salman Khan's eagerly awaited movie Sikandar has hit theaters, but it's received a mix of reactions from viewers. In a recent promotional chat with Hamad Al Reyami, Salman shared his connection with Dharmendra and his sons, mentioning his interest in remaking three of Dharmendra's classic films.

Salman Khan talks about his relationship with Dharmendra

When talking about Dharmendra, Salman shared, "He's truly one of the most incredible guys in our industry. Honestly, throughout my career, aside from my dad, I've looked up to Dharam ji the most. I might even follow him more than his own sons do!"

Salman Khan is interested in remaking some of Dharmendra's films

When asked about which films of Dharmendra he’d like to remake, the actor replied, "I’m planning to remake 3-4 of his movies. One of them is Chacha Bhatija, which I’ll definitely do. I’ll also take on Seeta Aur Geeta. And of course, Sholay is a must. He had another film called Ram Balram. He’s done so many films... I’ve seen every single one."

Salman has a strong friendship with Dharmendra and his sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. Recently, as Sikandar was about to be released, Sunny posted on Instagram, sharing the film's poster and wishing Salman good luck, saying, "My dear @beingsalmankhan, wishing you all the best for the release of #Sikandar."

Sikandar has received a mix of reviews from viewers and has only managed to earn ₹26 crore so far, falling short of Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film features Rashmika Mandanna, Sharman Joshi, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sathyaraj in significant roles.

Salman Khan's next film

Salman is set to appear next in Sajid Nadiadwala's Kick 2. In a recent chat with the media, he revealed that he's also working on another high-octane film alongside Sanjay Dutt. He mentioned, "I'm taking on another major action project after Sikandar. The action in this one is next-level—it's got a raw, rugged vibe. I'm teaming up with my big brother in the industry, Sanjay Dutt."
