Salman shared his sorrow on X (previously Twitter) regarding the terror attack in Pahalgam. He stated, 'Kashmir, a paradise on Earth, is becoming a nightmare. Innocent lives are under attack. My thoughts are with their families. Taking the life of even one innocent person is like destroying the whole universe.'

Shah Rukh Khan, along with other big names in Bollywood, spoke out against the attack. He shared on Instagram, "I can't find the words to describe the sadness and anger over the betrayal and brutal violence in Pahalgam. In moments like this, we can only look to God and pray for the families affected, offering my heartfelt condolences. Let's come together as a nation, strong and united, to seek justice for this terrible act." Other stars like Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Mohanlal, Chiranjeevi, and Pawan Kalyan also voiced their anger about the incident.

Details on the Pahalgam attack

While visitors were enjoying their holidays with family in Pahalgam's Baisaran, Jammu and Kashmir, unidentified gunmen suddenly opened fire. The attack happened around 3 pm on Tuesday, leading security forces to quickly respond to the sound of gunfire. Tragically, 26 people, mostly civilians, lost their lives, and 20 others were injured. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his strong condemnation of the attack, stating on X, 'My heartfelt condolences to those who have lost loved ones. I hope for a swift recovery for the injured. We are providing all possible support to those affected. The perpetrators of this terrible act will face justice... they will not escape! Their malicious agenda will fail. Our commitment to combating terrorism is unwavering and will only strengthen.' PM Modi also shortened his official trip to Saudi Arabia to return to Delhi on Wednesday.
