Salman Khan’s House fire Incident
The latest development in Salman Khan's house hiring case follows the accused’s pleas for bail in front of a special court in Mumbai. He stated that he was influenced by gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and also claimed to not have any intent on harming Salman.
Salman Khan’s house fire incident shook the nation when India woke up to the horrific news that several gunshots were fired outside his Bandra apartment on April 14. The Mumbai police, since the incident, have arrested several allegedly accused related to the firing.
In the aftermath, Salman Khan recorded his statement which claimed the involvement of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his gang in the firing outside his residence. Meanwhile, the new development reveals how the gangster served as an influence for the criminal act as an accused came forward with claims.
Claims in the bail plea by the accused
According to reports, one of the accused in the firing case, Vicky Gupta, has recently filed a bail plea, stating that she was influenced by gangster Bishnoi and his principles. He forwarded a plea before a special court under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA Act) on Monday and shared how the principles followed by Lawrence Bishnoi inspired him to commit the crime. He also alleged that the crime lord has no connection to the firing incident and is wrongfully accused of the same.
For the uninitiated, Bishnoi is currently serving in Sabarmati jail.
The bail plea further asserts that the gunshots were meant to intimidate or “give apprehension” to the superstar over the Blackbuck poaching case (1998). Gupta, the alleged shooter in the firing case, hails from a small town in Bihar and was struggling with unemployment and money before he was compelled to commit this crime.
According to the Indian Express, the bail plea mentions how Gupta was driven to commit the crime by following Lawrence Bishnoi’s social media handle and his principles. He, along with co-accused Sagar Pal, conspired for the “auspicious religious mission.”
