Salman Khan Delays UK Performances Following Pahalgam Terror Incident

Now, Salman Khan has decided to delay his UK event, called The Bollywood Big One show, stating that it is appropriate to halt activities during this period of sorrow. Salman Khan delays The Bollywood Big One show

On Monday, Salman took to Instagram to provide an update regarding The Bollywood Big One show, which was set for May. In addition to Salman, stars such as Sara Ali Khan, Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit, Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon, and Sunil Grover, were slated to perform at the gala event.

The caption stated, “In light of the recent tragic events in Kashmir, and with profound sadness, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone The Bollywood Big One shows, originally scheduled for May 4th and 5th in Manchester and London”.

“While we understand how much our fans were looking forward to these performances, we feel it is only right to pause during this time of grief. We sincerely apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience this may cause and deeply appreciate your understanding and support. New dates for the shows will be announced shortly,” it concluded.

The organizers also released a statement on Instagram to explain the rationale for their decision to postpone the event. They stated, "After thorough consideration and in response to the recent developments between India and Pakistan, we have made the challenging decision to reschedule the tour. As organizers, we bear a significant responsibility to safeguard the wellbeing of everyone involved – including the Artists and Crew, as well as our Audiences and Partners. Considering the high-profile nature of this event and the prominence of the Artists, we must remain aware of the broader context and its potential impact on public perception and media coverage. ” The ticket holders will receive their refunds from the initial point of purchase.

Salman condemns the Pahalgam attack

Last week, Salman turned to X (formerly Twitter) to convey his sorrow and condemn the terror attack in Pahalgam. He stated, “Kashmir, heaven on planet Earth, is becoming hell. Innocent individuals are being targeted. My heart goes out to their families. Ek bhi innocent ko marna puri kainaat ko marne ke barabar hai (Killing even one innocent person is equivalent to killing the entire universe). ”

At the same time, Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Mohanlal, Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, and numerous other celebrities also voiced their anger regarding the attack.

About the Pahalgam terror attack

On April 22, tourists were relishing their holidays with family when unknown assailants opened fire on them in Pahalgam's Baisaran, Jammu and Kashmir. The assault took place at approximately 3 pm on Tuesday, prompting security forces to hurry to the scene upon hearing gunshots. Twenty-six individuals, primarily civilians, lost their lives, and 20 more sustained injuries.
