Salman Khan Commends Rashmika Mandanna: Success Requires Effort

Rashmika Mandanna, an actress without any film industry lineage, has made significant strides since her debut in Kannada cinema with the 2016 film Kirik Party. Since then, she has collaborated with some of the most prominent stars in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi films, a journey that even astonished her Sikandar co-star, Salman Khan. In a promotional interview with India Today for the AR Murugadoss-directed film, set to hit theaters on March 30, 2025, Salman inquired about Rashmika's family background.
"How did you achieve such success?" he inquired after she mentioned that her father worked in hotel management and her mother was a homemaker. "Is it due to luck, fate, or perhaps hard work and being in the right place at the right time?" he continued. She responded that it must be fate, as pursuing a career in film had not been part of her plans until recently.

When Rashmika shared that receiving the offer to join Sikandar made her reflect on how she had reached a point where she was being considered for a role alongside Salman, he promptly explained the reason behind it. “It takes a great deal of discipline, Rashmika, and a significant amount of hard work. No one attains such heights without the dedication and effort you have invested in your career,” Salman remarked.
The Bollywood icon remarked on her remarkable work ethic, noting her ability to navigate between the filming of Pushpa 2 and Sikandar. “At that time, she was engaged in shooting both a song and the climax of Pushpa 2 while we were also filming a song. She would work with us at night and collaborate with the Pushpa 2 team during the day. Over the 12 days we were together, she likely worked continuously for 24 hours,” he stated, mentioning that she was both sleep-deprived and unwell during that period.
What sustained the actress through those hectic days was the support she received from Salman, who frequently checked in on her, inquiring whether she had eaten or if she needed anything. These gestures, which she did not anticipate, made a lasting impression on her. “Essentially, she’s saying I’m her kindest co-star,” he quipped.
