Salman Khan's upcoming movie Sikandar is just around the corner. Directed by AR Murugadoss, this film marks the first time Salman stars alongside Rashmika Mandanna. While many fans are excited about this new duo, some have raised eyebrows over their 31-year age difference. During a recent media event to promote the film, Salman explained his preference for collaborating with actresses from Rashmika's generation and took a jab at the media for not grasping his perspective.

When discussing his collaborations with emerging stars, Salman remarked, "These days, everyone is buzzing about Rashmika, the heroine of Sikandar. I had plans to team up with these new actresses, hoping they would rise to fame and land bigger roles. But all the chatter about age differences has complicated things for them."

The actor, who has previously teamed up with younger talents like Disha Patani and Pooja Hegde, continued, "Now, if I want to work with Ananya (Panday) or Janhvi (Kapoor), I have to think it over a lot." When reporters encouraged him not to overthink it, Salman chuckled and said, "I’ll think it over ten times, but I’ll still go for it."

Salman, who is 59, is starring alongside 28-year-old Rashmika in the movie Sikandar. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film also features Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, and Sharman Joshi. It’s set to hit theaters on May 30, right in time for Eid.

Salman encouraged everyone to head to the theaters to catch Sikandar and the other films releasing this week. "I really hope that those working get nice bonuses for Eid so they can enjoy Sikandar, Mohanlal sir's L2: Empuraan, and Sunny Deol's latest film (Jaat). We have three major stars launching big movies, and I wish all of them great success," he said.
