The former MLA and Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique was shot dead on October 12 by three assailants outside his son Zeeshan's office in Bandra. He was taken to Lilavati Hospital where doctors treated him but Baba Siddique succumbed to his injuries. The notable personality was 66 years old when he breathed his last. Hours after the demise, Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed the responsibility of the murder of former MLA and also stated that anyone who helps Salman Khan or the Dawood gang should be prepared. Amid this, Salman's father, Salim Khan broke his silence regarding the incident. 

Salim Khan opens up about Baba Siddique's murder

In a new interview with ABP News, Salim Khan said that he does not think there is any connection between Baba Siddique's murder and Salman Khan. 

The veteran lyricist said, "Nahi, mujhe nahi lagta hai ki isse koi taluk hai. Isse koi taluk nahi hai, mujhe nahi lagta. Baba Siddique ka isse kya taluk hoga? Kisi bhi cheez ka bana dijiye. Aapne humko salaam nahi kiya, ab hum aapko maar denge. Aapne humko namaste nahi kiya, hum maar denge"

(No, I don't think there is any connection. What connection will Baba Siddique have with this? We can make any story like this. You didn't greet me, I'll kill you).

When he was asked about the narrative that Baba Siddique was murdered because he tried to save Salman from Lawrence Bishnoi, the superstar's father said that even the police are protecting Salman, as well as his family members. 

He stated, "Isme kya hai? Har koi bachana chahta hai...Zindagi jo hai kabhi bhi ja sakti hai, kisi ki bhi jasakti hai" (So what? Everyone wants to save him...Anyone can lose their life anytime).

When Baba Siddique ended Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan's feud

Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan once had a huge fallout at Katrina Kaif's birthday and reportedly were not on talking terms. However, Baba Siddique made the two superstars talk again and ended their 5-year feud at one of his Iftaar parties. The video that has since gone viral shows SRK talking to Salim Khan for a while before Salman approaches the table. Shah Rukh gets up and the two stars nod at each other in acknowledgment before greeting each other with a hug.

Meanwhile, Salman recently bought a brand-new white-coloured bulletproof Nissan Patrol SUV amid the death threats from Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
